Soooo... I’ve taken this road trip with my dog to Colorado to visit with good people and enjoy the freedom away from most of my things.
Oh, how I can breathe out here!
Knowing I would go stir crazy if I didn’t bring at least *SOME* art supplies, I brought only what would fit in two small plastic bins, organized in their containers. And I brought only the things that I am very new at… becoming familiar with:
Resin painting supplies and alcohol ink. that’s all.
(and some watercolor pencils, in case I really get frustrated! I can always have fun with watercolor pencils!)
Today, I have the house to myself for a little while. Feeling inspired, I decided to paint with some alcohol ink. But first, to look around me and appreciate what's right here already, before needing to bring anything else into existence... before needing to express... And WOW!
It’s so peaceful and quiet, sitting by the window, natural light perfectly diffusing the whole room. When I step out onto the desk, I am in the middle of the mountains, where I've hung my hammock. Oh my gosh. All this, while relaxing with 4 dogs, too… Y’all. I’m in Heaven!
I am allowing opportunities and have many exciting things floating around! Today is such a beautiful day, and the UV rays here are insane, so I'm staying inside a bit... I'm excited to do some exploring this evening when it gets cooler. For now, I set some stuff up on a table by the window...
So far, I’ve made 4 postcards/mini paintings, and I’m trying to figure out how to keep the back of the Yupo paper clean! Taping it down doesn’t work… anyone have any suggestions? And what do you see in these painting mini's? Please comment below, and have a fantastic day!
